Food combos that you didn't think would work but you like?

I tried Onion rings and BBQ Sauce once and I was instantly hooked.
Works best with a more tangy/sweet sauce but just about any will do.
French fries are the same way but not as good as O rings.

Toasted banana and bacon sandwiches.
The bacon has to be fairly [or very] crispy, and the bananas on the ripe side.
You can either slice or more satisfyingly mash the bananas.
The saltiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the banana work well together.
And
Plum and chicken curry, a friend made for me. Lots of garlic, onion and split peas[?].
Maybe it sounds a bit weird, but it was delicious.

My diet is just too boring to have interesting combos. Recently, I have been adding blue-berries and banana to my brown-sugar oatmeal. It does not really go together, but...I was kind of ordered to eat more stuff and gain weight. In the future, I may skip the blue-berries, but for now...

Somewhat recently, I had this great idea...What if rather than dipping tostitos into the queso dip, I dipped a dorito instead. I thought might be awesome, decadent, cheesy goodness, but...it was not actually a great combo. What can you do? I guess Queso was made for tostitos.

I thought the rule was, anything with bacon is made better. Maybe if I dipped the bacon...

Chicken strips and vanilla ice cream. It’s a bit weird but easily the best food combo I’ve ever found. The cool, soft, sweet, ice cream followed by the crunchy savory bread layer and then the warm chicken is an incredible sensory experience with flavors that just work well together.

I was watching one of my favorite youtubers livestream the other week.
They were talking about putting a (Very tiny) bit of mustard powder in a (medium to big) batch of mac and cheese.
It sounds like a sin, but like, I also want to try it...lol

One of the funnier things I've seen is those 'cheese bomb' burgers being constructed. So much effort and care into the actual burger, and then...cheese bomb lol

Gummy bears on a sweet bun... (not real sure how those are called in English... bridge roll apparently). It gets bad when you do volunteer work with ki... young adults and they think your food ideas are bad.

Depends on what kind of sweet bun you mean.
Do you mean cinnamon roll? Or do you mean sweet bread rolls like Hawaiian bread?

Problem is we call them sandwiches... which they are not. By looks I'd go more towards the Hawaiian bread.

that doesn't sound that bad then, I'd be concerned if you meant cinnamon roll
I imagine that'd be kinda good but I'm not sure I'd try it. seems too sweet for me (And I generally like sweet, but "too much" is a lot even for me)
I think one of the things I want to try is mixing Pepsi and Coke (The drink, to clarify lol)
People make memes about that being a 'sin' but is just food, I kinda wonder what it'd taste like. prolly a little funky.
I've had coke and rum before, but it was way too spicey for me, that one I don't get. Even though it's popular around 'lightweight' drinkers.

In the army everything was a sandwich. The sergeant would say, How many different kinds of sandwiches are there? And the answer meant, stick it on the bread and stuff it in your mouth, cause we are moving out.

So, we had everything you could imagine. You had a beans, jello and cornbeef sandwich, and a celery and tuna and peanut butter sandwich... It did not matter the combo. You just ate it and left.
