Just how many fantasy novels/games end with 'let's go fight/kill the god/devil' ?

Most of the time when games do this it tends to be 'the 'devil' is trying to take over the world of light, stop them'
But I've also seen the other side. 'The 'god' has become corrupt/is being corrupted in some way and we must stop them'

Both of those things are in quotes because it's not always Christian culture. Though for some games it literally is those two. (Or at least the imagery is heavily there) I've seen it done for other Religions too.

I'm pretty sure even pokemon has done it at least once.

My 'Empire' series BEGAN two years AFTER the demise of the evil demon God. The Lovecraftian deities in that series masqueraded as entertainers, common laborers, pedlars, guards, and a host of other mundane professions.

somebody may or may not have watched a particular anime lol
Jokes aside that sounds fun.

We need some games that do that. Have it be more about rebuilding the land and stuff.
It can still have all the RPG stuff you know? But like at least for a bit, have it be about recovering from the great evil tryina take over n stuff.
