Why do we spend so much time on form and so little on content?

I actually think people learning to string together good words is very important. There are so many badly written stories, the content becomes irrelevant if the writing fails to communicate the story. All to often people forget that writing is about communicating, and communicating is using the words to convey the meaning without getting in the way. So, I do think it is good to look for ways to improve writing, and to learn the skills necessary to write a good story, because if your words suck, no one will care whether or not you have a good story, they'll just move on to something else.

Besides, if no one needed any help and just did it themselves, there would be little need for writing communities like this one.
