A Quick Hello

Hi everybody! (I challenge you not to read that in Dr Nick Riviera's voice)

My name is Dominique and I'm a manuscript assessor, mentor, and casual writer. Like most of you, I'm also a lover of all things sic-fi/fantasy. Lately I have been indulging in some really B-grade horror novels from our local second hand bookstore as a guilty pleasure.

I live in Sydney with my husband, toddler and Old English Sheepdog, and occasionally blog over at Dominique Rose | Reading, writing and all that lurks between

Anyway, hopefully I'll be doing less lurking and more typing over the next few weeks. I'm always happy to read through a few chapters if anyone ever wants a helping hand, so just send me a message.

We have writers here from the entire spectrum of experience so please feel free to spend time in the forums (the Writing Questions forum is a happening place) and if, after a quick search, you can't find any threads that address a specific question you may have you are welcome to post. It never ceases to amaze me what a breadth of experience we have to draw from here in our community - from arms and medieval weapons to handling crocodiles and quick-starting Harleys under duress.
