Bloody hell...

Got to work Monday, and a client sent over cupcakes and delicious chocolate chip cookies. Tuesday it was caramel popcorn. Wednesday we had holiday tree trimming with wine and cheese. Yesterday, someone sent over pound cake and mixed bags of nuts. This morning, it was donuts, chocolate covered fruit, and little assorted chocolate candies. All sitting there in the break room, all day long.

On the one hand, my diet! On the other hand, what if no one else eats them and they go to waste?

A true dilemma....

Holiday calories don't count. That's what January and some free weights are for. I just made a lunch of Brie cheese, spicy olives and gingerbread cookies.

Yeah, I've been pretty good for most of the year and I'm trying to let go of my restrictions until after Xmas. The fascinating part is that after a few years of mostly-healthy eating the idea of gorging myself on a box of donuts isn't as appealing anymore - but I might do it anyway just because I can.

Yeah, I'm not a gorger either, and I do still pick and choose what I'm going to indulge in, but the stuff I like? I probably wouldn't eat a box of donuts, but red wine, or mulled wine is a huge problem for me. Also spiced rum. Also cheese, charcuterie boards, bread of any kind, cookies, seafood (especially in dip form, lol).

Physically I am in great shape (I'm basically solid muscle head to toe, and stronger than my guy friends, thanks to martial arts) but my diet is probably garbage. I'm a stinking picky eater (partly due to sensory issues.)

Family has been discussing Christmas treats. We're making cornflake wreaths (like rice krispies but with cornflakes and cinnamon candies) because TRADITION. But i'm craving sugar cookies.

I have to be careful about what I eat, since I'm gluten free and cow dairy free and sugar free [mostly on the last one]. My mum's going to make a goat cheese walnut loaf for Christmas dinner. We're still going to make cookies, and, during the New Year, cinnamon buns.
