Do you have jokes/silly moments that don't make it into the final cut?

I think that's fine and can be funny as long as characters don't crack jokes everytime they are in real danger or are in grief or anything.

What bothers me about Marvel humor are not the jokes, but often they got a bad placement and destroy the severity of the scene.
Yeah, they don't tend to do it during serious scenes. My female protagonist from my Rom Com Drops a 'hell no, not on MY wedding day' at one point, but that's because it IS her wedding day at the time and the nine tailed demon kitsune is trying to escape his prison and keeping him from doing so is her family's job.

Other than that, my characters stay fairly serious when the plot requires them to, even the ones that are (pardon the French) genuine smartasses sometimes. My particularly sassy ones will even be like 'what? I don't spew Zingers 24/7!' lol

There's reason for that.
