Will there be any way to turn them off? I thought unchecking 'Show Images' in the 'Visible Post Elements' setting would turn them off, but it seems not.

Will there be any way to turn them off? I thought unchecking 'Show Images' in the 'Visible Post Elements' setting would turn them off, but it seems not.

We're all stuck with them, as there is no way to turn them off for individual users.

We'll just have to trust that our members will use smilies responsibility, and won't over-saturate their posts with them. Smilies should be more like an occasional seasoning used for emphasis, as opposed to a main dish.

I'd like to think, that as we're all writers and most are attempting to be published, that we'd be able to convey our thoughts and intent to each other with words alone anyway.

But that sounds a bit snappy, so proving my own statement incorrect, I'll add :3
