Explaining the 'normal' tech in my 'high fantasy' world.

So my high fantasy world has a few things that make it revolve around 'data'
The key thing being the Sea of Data which is more like an ethereal plain, comprised of all data past and present (including cat videos on the internet) thing is unless you're a god or demigod, you aren't really aware that this exists. There is a singular clan of magicians who know it exists and they are known as the L33T Clan (and yes, their scriptures and ciphers use L33T speak, that's the joke)

The other thing is when living things/organic things die they break down into raw data, presumably to be absorbed into the sea of data. Skilled mages (such as blacksmiths and mechanics) can shape this data into tools and weapons, using information leveraged from the L33T Clan.

I was thinking these two things combined could be a good reason there's 'normal' technology (TV's, soda machines, microwaves etc) because the L33T Clan can decipher data from the Sea of Data to craft these things out of raw data.

Side note: To be clear. This isn't one of those 'so far in the future we became magic' realities, this is an alternate earth that is aware of our earth (Mostly because the Sea of Data interacts with our 'internet' though they don't know it's called that) but on a different timeline.

Also this isn't a new thing, it was done in Naruto and nobody batted an eye at it, it depends a lot on how it's handled.

Huh.

I love it.

Well, I'm more prone towards less comedic takes myself, but pulling the plans out of an impossibly vast mass of knowledge? Interesting.
Trust me if it was a more serious story I wouldn't be going for this angle, but since at it's heart it's a comedy I figured it'd fit.

The L33T clan are about the most comedic thing in the story though, they're all nerds and geeks from different clans lol They've figured out how to 'desync' the enchantment from the actual spell they're casting so as long as the context fits, their spell gets casted. (but the actual spell can be some random phrase) They're unpredictable in that way.

Plus given that the sea of data interacts with 'our' internet (both the good and bad...) tutorials for repairing stuff like ovens and microwaves etc are pretty common. And of course, random cat videos on tick tock... which one of the elemental gods gets yelled at for observing while swimming in the sea of data.
