Oh he's just an old, cynical paladin. He has a beard. Short and neat. Black and gray.

Can't go wrong with the classic short and neat beard.
Of course, you're right. How could it? I suppose I just brought it up to show that I flout convention for my protagonist as well!

Well I essentially have 6 protagonists and at least 2 of them have facial hair for sure. The healer has some and the "knight" has a full beard. The assassin probably doesn't, or barely if he does. The other 3 are women.
