First or third person?

I write like I’m reading the story for the first time myself, if it doesn’t make sense to me, it won’t to others, I know my stories, but others need to understand what’s going on, I might be all wet, but that’s how I do it

Who's telling the story? What is the story? Who knows!
Who is the narrator, that chair over there? nah, too unreliable, maybe that cloud, nah too high and mighty, that gold fish? nah not a thought between those eyes. Don't get me started on parallel dimensions and multiple universes. Are we in 3 D ? 2D?? Isometric? /joke.

Actually I'm joking but that'd be a fun idea for a narrator, a sentient chair telling the reader about all the people who sat on him and the bits of their lives he'd experienced. too bad I have like 6 projects on deck already, one of which I'm choosing to zero in on to try n finish the first rough draft this year.
