Help or Inspiration in Magic System

So I hope this is the write place to post my Question in here.
I am Building a Fantasy World. and created an origin Story.
In short, the Origin Story tells about three Godlike Creatures that created the World (Kaelum) in the firs Era, through a big Blood ritual. Without going to deep into the Details, the three created the World with their Essence. At the end of the first Era the three Retreat from Kaelum but passed their Magic on to the first races.
Now. the Magic in Kaelum is not free to anyone. It is something that is only inherited through blood, as a legacy of the three. If one is born into a family with this bloodline, you have magic within you, if not you cant use magic.
the Magic is like a Sickness It is powerful. can heal, deceive, conjure shadows, etc. But it slowly poisons the user. The more one uses it, the more it consumes the user. their mind gets restless, and they see things that are not there or hear voices. additionaly the body is deforming. the user age faster, and sometimes strange things grow on their body. the worst thing is, it is addicting. Every spell feels like a forbidden embrace.

there are three stages:
1. small everyday Magic like summon a shadow to hide into, healing small wound, or manipulate people. these spells cost almost nothing. just a tiny bit of madness. and people can use it their whole lives without getting getting seriously mad.
2. powerfull Magic, that is used in Battles, or duels. in order to use these spells a ritual must be performed before its use. usually the ritual is somith intimate like sharing Blood, touching or kissing. sometimes for real powerfull spells even more. its like a recharge. but the costs are much higher. the madness and addiction grows stronger. If you recharce to often, the madness will consume the user.
3. the ultimate Magic. this gives the user the abillity to use very powerfull spells. ergo there needs to be don a big complex ritual before. the user gains incredible power for a while but the ritual will change th user forever. ost who use it, become walking shadows, mad people or simply die.
now not everyone is consumed at the same speed or rate, some users have strong bloodlines that are able to endure more. Some can learn to control the madness through meditation or places where magic is weaker. It is even possible to pass the costs on to others.
in short magic is a gift and a curse at the same time. It gives power but consumes the user. The more someone uses it, the faster the madness and deformation grows.
now. my Question are.
1. is this a good start for my magic system. in a dark Fantasy universe with topics like Moral grey zones, the fragility of power and dark forbidden desires?
2. I am searching for ways to connect the Magic more with the World, what are things that help to integrate the Magic even more naturally into the world?

1. The system has a good cost/reward system. Much more interesting then many I have seen.

2. I would use the blood, and say it has been poured into everything, in some degree or another. The land, the water, the trees, the animals, and into the blood line of people. If rituals include enough of the things that have strong concentration, the more effective the ritual. But...it does not have to be true that magic using types are completely aware of this.

thanks, that helps alot.
I think I have some Ideas on how to implement this

Sounds like a fun magic system (or at least fun for the reader, for the practitioners, not so much...). What I'm missing, and what helps tie it to the rest of the world, is how people see magic users. Are magic users feared or used or outcast or ...? Are they in power? Are the magical families trying to keep their blood pure or do they try to marry outside those families a lot? etc.

The most inspiring part of your magic system to me was the mechanical interest in how someone who was trying to avoid going mad use this system. Basically, such a character would try to use the minimum magic necessary to achieve the largest possible effect. I'm imagining such like a telekinetic push at precisely the right point to topple a scaffolding onto someone who's chasing them, or a millisecond of perception alteration to allow sneaking into a secure area. I would have to know more details about how, exactly, magic works to come up with more scenarios, but the point is if you treat it like this, it will naturally invite the reader to think with the character about how they would use their magic to the maximum effect.

As far as I tying the magic to the world, I find it interesting how this magic was supposedly granted to your mortals by the three godlike beings, but it makes them go insane and mutates and ages them. That would suggest that while your three are godlike in power, they may not be exactly wholesome. Yeah, I'm thinking straight-up C'thulu monstrosities here. But maybe you already have it this way.

While its true that the "Gods" are not pure wholesome, i did not imagine them beings to be monstrosities.
they unite their bodies in an intimate Blood-Ritual in order to create the world, and use theyr essence which is magical, but also has these poisonous sideffects
