Goodness, it's a veritable plague! ;)

Welcome, Lace! We've actually had a couple new writers join us from Missouri in the past few months. We have a lovely and supportive community here, so please make yourself at home.

Thank you for such a lovely welcome! I grew up in a rural area, more of a "farm town" and not a lot of people seem to be into fantasy. So, it is quite refreshing to hear about your recent "plauge"! :)

The novel I am currently working on is called The Second Sister, however, I am not really happy with the title. I just haven't been able to think of anything else. I will provide the synopsis I made for NaNoWriMo last November. It turned out to be larger than expected and I think it will end up being a trilogy or possibly a small series. I hope to have the first book's rough draft completed by the end of April (joined camp NaNoWriMo). Then I guess I have to let someone actually read it and, if it's any good, I'd love to look into editing and even publishing. Those dreams just seem really far fetched right now though. Once again, thanks for all the support!

Synopsis from the first book of The Second Sister:

Once upon a time a king was blessed with twin daughters. One was claimed to be the fairest in the country while the other was so hideous one could not stand to look at her. To shield the child the king kept her secluded in an abandoned part of the kingdom only to be waited on by blind servants who could never gaze upon her disfigured face. Of course, that was just a rumor, or so the Dragon Riders of Asdern thought when they invaded the neighboring kingdom of Nhydale. Shocked to discover the existence of a second princess enchanted with magic whose beauty rivaled even that of her twin, the king of Asdern thinks he may have discovered the ultimate treasure.

Freya, the forgotten princess of Nhydale, world is turned upside down she is taken from her home land by Dragon Riders and discovers her entire existence has been a lie. Now, on her own for the first time, she'll quickly have to learn who her real enemies are in a world laced with dark politics and even darker magic. In order to survive she'll have to find allies in unlikely places and fight to control the ever growing power within her before she loses control and falls victim to those who wish to exploit it.
