What do you mean by 'good fantasy?' Good characters seeking to do good? Sympathetic characters of a dark bent? Small tales in a realm at peace? Or epic confrontations?

As mentioned read and write as much as you can. And in regards to reading try to read broadly and not just other fantasy authors. There is in my experience a significant gain from reading other genres than the one you want to write in.
