Hi guys! I'm new to this site.
In grade 3 I decided I wanted to be a teacher, as they got all the Birthday Cake. However, by an administrative error, I ended up studying Classics and Archaeology at university, but did get to squeeze in a number of writing classes.
Now, it's time to turn my passion for teaching and my love of writing into something that can actually support me.

Welcome to Mythic Scribes.

Classics and Archaeology, huh? I did Ancient History and Archaeology (basically, got to read primary sources in English translation instead of in Greek or Latin, greater focus on events than philosphers). I found it both interesting and enjoyable, and now a lot of my writing is heavily influenced by what I learned. My copies of Herodotus' Histories and Xenophon's various works are amongst my most prized possessions.

Best of luck in your endeavours. Now come and waste time debating elements of writing like a real procrastintor writer!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

And I agree that we could do with more fantasy that is classically inspired. Herodotus has enough material for a lifetime of writing!

I'm actually planning a fantasy series inspired by the Ancient Near East, it's just a little way down the list.
