Hey, everyone. How's it going? It's great to meet y'all.
I've been posting and lurking for about a week now, and I have to say that this is one of the most pleasant communities I've found in a while - I think I might stick around. This is a pretty big deal for me, because my attention span is short enough to make Twitter occasionally hard to stick to.
I'm a writer. Yeah! I thought that might surprise you guys. I'm currently in the middle of editing my first novel, The Vampire's Daughter, which I'm posting in a blog. So far my experience doing so has been really mixed, but what can you do?
I think my style is minimalist. This is a little hard to maintain because as it turns out writing concisely is hard. I'm all the time having to go back and trim out pointless "actually," "in fact" and even "Indeed," from paragraphs I felt really good about the first time around!
I've seen a lot of different styles since I came here, and I'm glad to have found the forums.
