My world has 5 gods that walk the earth. They choose to appear as humans or elves or one of the other many races one the world. My gods are Kyva the goddess of organization. Some of her ideals are she believes that through organization there is peace. She believes that most aren’t capable of organizing themselves. She also believes in planning for the future Nelros the god of protection. He believes in protection yourself first then your loved ones then the weak. To protect is to live in the moment and never the past or future. Nala the goddess of passion. Everyone must have a passion and find that passion. She believes that love and kindness will solve any problem. Cunir the god of curiosity. He believes there is a secret in everything and that everything should be revealed and shared. Elmjir the god creativity. He believes that a creative mind is meant to do good for others. I’m thinking of having 1 or 2 major religions for each of the gods. What would be some interesting religions that might come to be? I’d like each one to be more the just if you are organized you have a good place in the afterlife or along those lines.

Thanks!!!! I technically have a total of 10 gods in my universe however technically speaking the other 5 are “dead”. I’m still working on the other 5 though so I may still have a god of chaos

I could see a paladin-like order being under Nelros. Their sworn duty is to protect those in need, or depending on what sort of abilities they have, maybe even make them similar to the Knights Templar. They could have hospitals, a reason for their presence in most cities.

I could see followers of Cunir as a group of watchers. Anytime they see something that they can monetize, or exploit to make money, they would. They would be information traders, seekers of knowledge of any type or maybe even like a thieve’s guild, exploiting things they see for personal gain. I imagine a normal street where you might think everything is normal. Yes, he is really the blacksmith, but he’s also a watcher. Herb peddler? Yes, but also a watcher.

When in the history of your world is your planned story? Religions develop/mutate/divide over time, so some straightforward devotees of your pantheon would be fine early in your world's development, but after centuries I can see that followers of Kyva could be autocrats/ruling classes ("we know how best to organise and that brings peace") and Nala the goddess of "passion" could easily have attracted the types who followed Bacchus in the graeco-Roman system. I find it interesting that you have described each of your deities with positive attributes - my point is that mere mortals, have positives and negatives and will adapt religions accordingly. Think of the Crusades or the Inquisition, which were conducted by followers of Christ who preached "lovethy neighbour as thyself" and "forgive until 70 times 7".

So currently it’s the 3rd era of the world but 1st era for actual sentient life

Elmjir, the god of creativity could be an order of wizards who forward an order of learning new ways to do magic. Maybe an order that strives to teach that knowledge to others in the religion.
Cunir, the god of curiosity could be the god of education and research. An order striving to bring learning to the people. Maybe the schools of your kingdom.
Kyva the godess of organization - definitely like the idea of a ruling class of organizers, the leaders of the society. Maybe like illuminati type people who work together to rule or control the fate of people
Nelros the god of protection definitely like the paladin order of knights here. Or maybe a secret order of people who work behind the scenes to correct wrongs in the world and protect the innocent?
Nala the goddess of passion - best to be a sex cult. Just kidding. Not sure on this one. The only thing I can come up with is an order of people like hippies who follow only what their emotions tell them to do. That would also provide plenty of chaos. lol

I think I would approach this by looking for the organic way this might develop. If I took on Deity, I would fashion out how a religion might form around them, and then I would look for ways they might split with each other. Perhaps several times. Or, how one might be almost diametrically opposed to it but still have the same good justification for the differences. Nala, goddess of passion, for might have a cult of priestesses who engage in free love as their expression of passion, whereas others might say passion must have greater purpose and be about finding ones place in life--they may even deny other passions as trivial or not worthy of a quest for true passions. A separate religion may take a more bacchanal approach, declaring passion is only found in free expression and the more extreme the better. A passion of blood may be murderous and bloody (the gorier the better), and still find justification in what the goddess is supposed to represent.
