"Biopunk" I also don't know; presumably that would be a "punk" setting where biological technology was the most important component. 12 Monkeys, perhaps.

Gattica, Bladerunner, Resident Evil, Quake, Bioshock, Prototype. There's a few of them.

My understanding was that the punk part was a reference to the Punk movement and it's fight against authorities that characterizes all of them; and the attachment was the tech/period setting. Like victorian vs fantasy romances.
