Despite the name I'm a female - I think my parents wanted a boy! I first discovered fantasy as a student in the 1960s, fell in love with it and determined to write one myself one day. A busy career took over but the dream never faded.

I've finally managed to complete the first volume in a trilogy but now am struggling to find time to start volume 2 - the journey towards publication seems to require as much effort as the book itself and is in danger of sending me into the trough of apathy! I'm hoping participation in this community will help me escape the morass of social media, remind me how much fun fantasy is, and get me cracking on that second book.
