Most common writer name

I was browsing through my bookshelves today (I like physical books...) and I found out that the most common last name for a writer is 'Harris' (yes, I've got them sorted by lst name...). I've got three of them:
- Joanne Harris
- Robert Harris
- Thomas Harris

Which is of course completely useless information, but I thought it was funny

I don't have any books that have the same surname. I do, however, have a couple with the same first name... David as in Eddings, Gemmell......

I know it isn't what you asked but I thought it was a little bit interesting

I no longer have bookshelves. The physical books are packed away in containers or cabinets, and I never read them. Only a very special selection sits over my writing desk, and they are too few to have the sort of odd commonality you found with yours.

Virtually all of the fiction I've bought in the last 10 years or more has been in electronic form.
