I'm just curious if one could possibly have their name changed on the Mythic Scribes forums?

    Thanks.

Black Dragon would have to give a definitive answer but if I remember correctly it has occurred before so I would say yes. Black Dragon would be the one able to do it though.

    Ah, so it is possible.
I'd just generally like to change my name because I've found a new handle that I prefer.
Is there a specific criteria and set of rules for changing names?

PM Black Dragon, probably. I imagine it's possible from a technological standpoint, though I've also seen systems where it wasn't, or was so difficult it wasn't worth the effort involved.

I would point out one thing first: if I'm remembering correctly from the last time I was in a position to do such things (elsewhere, not here), any change will propagate through the system–your profile info, number of posts, reputation, etc. will remain the same, and all your old posts will display your new name. Just wanted to make sure that was clear before you went to the trouble.

I messaged Black Dragon a few days ago. He said that he is usually hesitant to do a name change, and he has not messaged me back. That is understandable.

Did you even actually read what we're talking about? This isn't about the name of Mythic Scribes...

I thought it was about the site name too at first :) But ya it should be possible.
