i just posted my review of "the demons of lashte". it's not a particularly shining review, but i hope you'll take it as evidence of how much i genuinely enjoyed "chalice and knives".

My daughter is making her way through Lorelei and the Lost and Found Monster and I am through Critical Failures.

Problem: One Kindle to share while traveling (when I'm not driving).

Lorelei and the Lost and Found Monster's review has been sent in to Amazon. I quoted my daughter for most of the review. She gave it 5 stars. Don't know when it'll go live.

Thank you, Terry. And please give my thanks to your daughter as well. That was a very nice review, and I appreciate you both taking the time with the book!

I am almost done with Critical Failures. I expect to have a review up by tomorrow night, and then I'll go to the next MS Member book :)

thanks so much TWErvin2!

these bits of criticism you guys are giving me are great. i read them and think "yeah, i can totally see what he's talking about." which will help me during the writing and revising of the first sequel.

but also, they lend credibility to those four stars. 'well, he had this to say about it, but he still gave it four stars. i guess i'll have to check it out.'

A review of Critical Failures is up. I'll take a look at the next book on my list from an author who is participating in this. I'll get reviews up as quickly as I can.

I feel bad because I want to put up reviews for our fellows' work, I just don't have time to read. I'm making my way through TWIXT HEAVEN AND HELL right now, but it'll probably be a while before I finish.

I'm probably just being paranoid, but if TWIXT is simply excruciatingly boring to you, you don't have to finish... ;) (if, on the other hand, you're just busy, then take your time!)

QUEEN is up next on my list, I'll probably start it sometime over the weekend vacation I have coming up!

Actually, I am enjoying TWIXT, I just literally don't have time. Now that QUEEN is done, I'm splitting my free time 50/50: half on a personal website project that has nothing to do with writing, that I promised my wife I'd tackle when the book was done; and half on the sequel to QUEEN. So the only time I get to read is if I'm in transit or in the bathroom, and thankfully those things don't take up too much of my time. :)

i had a nice long subway ride today, so i was able to read "le morte d'arthur" all the way through. i'm tired as all hell right now though, so i'll try to post a review tomorrow.

oh, by the way, i really really liked it. if i were you, i'd seriously put some thought into writing more of that. morte could have been the first chapter or two of a longer novel, which in turn would be the first of a really cool sci-fi series. i mean, you've got not only the unique quality of the ship itself, but you've got a couple of crew members whose personalities i have a feel for, you've got the background of a war going on. you've got politics mentioned. and you've got this new guy who has just joined the crew, who is a cool stand in for the reader. so many places to go from here.

give it some thought.

I finally got around to downloading Flank Hawk from B&N (thanks for having it available via Nook, btw. It's my preferred format.). I'll try to read it and by the end of next weekend and post a review the following week.

Sorry for the delay. Someone recommended Self-Editing for Fiction Writers to me, and I read that cover to cover this weekend.
