You did better than me :).

    Admittedly though I did:
    * self-publish my 4th book
    * sign up with a hybrid Publisher
    * considerably updated my social media presence as an author
    * read 18 books (definitely reading more)
    * and most importantly, signed up with Mythic Scribes, who have been a massive encouragement :).

I've already forgotten what is part of this year, and what was part of last year, though I'm sure I did something.

This sounds like fun though, so I'll add "keeping track of what I did" to my new year's resolution and join in next year.

Had two novels and one novella published in a new (LitRPG) series.
    Had a co-authored novella released.

My most productive year since my first novel's publication way back in 2009.

Published my second novel, which launched into the Kindle Top 50 Epic Fantasy New Releases.

Broke 10,000 sales of my first novel, released in late 2016.

This was the first year I was able to attend fantasy conventions as a panelist / author using book proceeds as opposed to paying out of pocket and hoping to make it back in sales each time. It sounds like a minor thing, but holy crap, my writing now pays for plane tickets.

Started Book III and a new series, hoping to release both in 2020.

I should be more specific here. I've started Book III of The Outworlders, and started writing the first book of a new series. I hope to release the first book of the new series in 2020. I won't be releasing the entire new series in 2020.

But you all should know me better than that by now, anyway.

An additional plug for Mr. Malik, I just happened to scroll down and catch his interview on SFF marketing podcast. Good stuff.

Me? Published Eve of Snows, book one of Sundering the Gods, which hit #1 in 3 countries and #2 in the US on Amazon... Yeah, Tolkien kept me from #1 on that spike, LOL. And it was an old Tolkien book too, but it was like #200 overall on Amazon, I didn’t have a shot without a bookbub. #1 in Australia and Canada were catching major organic spikes and hitting ads, so it was full price, while #1 in the UK and #2 in US were on sale.

I’ve learned more about marketing than I expected to know, and still know jack.

Followed up with a novella, and I’m over 50% done with Book 2.

Just went wide with EoS, and hit double digit sales in Canada with Kobo! LOL.

Usually, I do this in a dedicated thread in the 'Writer's Workshop' sub-forum.

    Still...

    - finished the rewrite of 'Empire: Capital,' book two in my 'Empire' Series.

    - rewrote 'Empire: Estate' almost from scratch (book three of 'Empire.')

    - started the rewrite of 'Empire: Metropolis' (book four of 'Empire.')

    - finished 'Strange Exit,' a novella I began in 2017.

    - wrote 'Island Trouble' (horrible title) a novelette set in the same world as 'Empire.'

    - wrote 'The Hatching,' a sort of introductory short story to a quasi-Lovecraftian world.

Should have done more, but was coping with family tragedy (Dad died December 2017) and complications from personal health issues. Did lose some weight, need to lose more.

    For 2019:

    - Finish the rewrite of 'Empire: Metropolis' (hopefully well before the April NaNo.)

    - Rewrite 'Empire: Spiral' (book six of 'Empire'). In conjunction with that, I need to revisit and redo my old 'Toki/Hock-Nar' short stories as they play a role in that tale.

    - Rewrite and expand 'Empire: Judgment,' sixth and last book in the 'Empire' series.

    - Produce a rough draft for 'Labyrinth: Defender,' book 3 of the 'Labyrinth' series.

    - write a as yet to be determined novelette or novella in the world of 'The Hatching.'

    Track down editors and artists.

Then it'll be time to see if I can't find the 'complete idiots guide to self publishing' or something similar.
