Happy Towel Day everyone! Also it is the Glorious 25th of May, so I hope everyone is wearing their lilac. I am. Did not bring my towel to work because that'd be a bit silly but do have a lilac in my top pocket.

Of course there's a serious side to this day too. As many of you know, Terry Pratchett has Alzheimer's. Take this day to donate to Alzheimers charities, if you can afford to. If any of you have seen the documentary Terry Pratchett made about his Alzheimers, or know anyone suffering from the disease, you'll understand why I think it's a worthy cause to donate to.

And you are right, Alzheimer's is worse than having Vogon poetry read to you. All joking aside, I have had too many family members plagued by this wretched disease. My sympathies to Pratchett and his family as they go through this difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to post this; more people need to be aware of how devastating this can be.
