Do you watch any 'intended for adults' animated shows?

By intended for adults I mean like, Rick and Morty, South Park, Futurama etc

I've seen bits of all of them and found plenty of the stuff funny out of context.
But some of these shows (even Simpsons) just isn't quite my vibes.

The only show I've genuinely laughed at is Rick and Morty, I have seen a TON of the bits out of context, and I wheezed. But I feel like if I watch the show it'd 'ruin the magic' if that makes sense. Feel the same way about Family Guy, seen quite a few of the funnier moments out of context and laughed, but somehow I feel the rest of the show isn't for me.

I'm not sure I'd call it "intended for adults" but I really like Daria.
The writing and characters are spot on. There are not a whole lot of belly laughs, more wry smiles and nervous winces.
While I love the main character Daria, I have a soft spot the Britney the cheerleader. She turns being an air-head in to an art form and can be surprisingly aware.
I have watched a few Futurarma and South Park [and others] back in the mists of time but they never really took.
Oh... and Aeon Flux. I loved that. Not sure I understood what was going on but I liked to watch it.

I'm in the same boat as you, I watched a few episodes of both way back when and never really got hooked. These days I mostly see some of the funnier stuff out of context.

South Park is a weird one, when they aren't being foul as possible simply for the sake of it, they can be pretty funny. Makes me sad that 80% of the show is shock value and swears cause there's a lot of potential in it. It has a very...honest sense of humor. I respect what they're going for? It's just not for me haha.

Same with Futurama, when they aren't doing the shock value stuff (They aren't near as foul as south park though) they can be a riot. The episode where Bender becomes god is pretty great. And there's plenty of 'lesser' bits that are funny too.

Old Simpsons episode are golden. South Park is very clever satire, but I can’t watch it for too long. I think Regular Show is cute and funny.
Wasn't regular show on cartoon network? or am I thinking of something else? I think I've seen a bit of that.

Also I forgot to mention a golden classic, Ren and Stempy.

That show was a gold mine, I wonder how the voice actors didn't bust out laughing reading half of their lines.

And to a lesser extent (Though not intended for adults) Angry Beavers, it was basically ren and stempy but for kids lol

Hmmm...I was just reading a Daria fan fic...

I've seen plenty of anime's. I like the world unfiltered, and I often do look for anime's that are not being tame. I don't often find one to my taste though.

At the moment I am watching Shiboyuki, which is a close hit for me, but a little too tame.

I have enjoyed many anime's that were in the PG13 range, but PG13 is actually my least favorite rating. I would put Inuyasha, Full Metal, Violet Evergarden in this range.

But, to be honest, a lot of anime's just look like noise to me.

Some comedy is of the nature where gross is to be considered funny. I dont go for gross. Southpark does that too much for me.

I loved Futurama.

I used to love Ren and Stimpy and watched it back when Fox tv aired it unaware that it wasn’t really for kids. I’m sure it was Fox but could be wrong. I loved the grotesque close ups. They did that with SpongeBob too. Nickelodeon had some amazing animation, Courge the Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken etc

I'm 90% sure Ren and Stimpy was where spongebob got the idea for the grotesque closeups lol.

Courage The cowardly dog was brilliant and I refuse to accept that it was 'just for kids' due to being on cartoon network. (especially some of the darker episodes like 'perfect' and the one about domestic abuse if Courage didn't get another season I'm pretty sure one of them would have ended with eustace and Murial dead)

Cow and Chicken I watched a bit of but I don't remember it much. Though I was amused one day when a Minecraft Youtuber randomly brought it up in a conversation.
