Types and names of futuristic weapons?

Having said to keep it simple, I have invented some weapon tech in my next novel - sci-fi.

I did go into some brief explanation, but invented some quasi-scientific jargon that reads well enough and has the patina of authenticity.

The editor didn't bat an eyelid.
