Writing Markers

Laurence

Inkling
When writing in a program (I use Scrivener), sometimes I put a marker in something and fill the name or fact in later. This allows me to keep up my momentum which is something I really struggle with given my minimal available time.

Lately, I've taken to popping in a '00' wherever I'm missing info, a name, a sentence etc. I also now put in a '11' in places where I've put some vital info in but that I think could fit less noticeably in somewhere later on. This allows me to -- whenever I'm at a point with not a lot of info dumping going on -- do a quick search of '11' and pop some of this info in.

With how well these methods work I'm considering how else these markers could be used eg. perhaps a '22' relationship marker? Ensuring I'm keeping enough / not too much interaction between two people or making a character interact more and more with a cursed item?

Do you use this method at all? Can you think of any more possible uses?
