I wouldn't say it sapped my energy. I have a lot, except when I was running and I had zero, but that's unrelated.

I have social media because I have to, but people look at my accounts and say, "where's your real account?" My father didn't let me have any accounts until I turned 18 and by then I didn't care. We didn't even have internet until two years ago and I was homeschooled, so there was no way to do that. All my friends were in the neighborhood where I grew up and they all had snapchat, Facebook, twitter, insta, and I felt kind of left out sometimes but some of them were like sexually assaulted online, bullied and stalked. they all said I was better off not doing anything. I was barely on anything, I didn't even post every day and I got stalked! Even Bear got stalked and before you think about anything like, "oh I want to be stalked by a cute girl" she was criminally insane and suicidality depressed. She was obviously just trying to add him to her collection of simps and conquests. She even told him that. Luckily for him, none of his accounts doxxed him. She was able to contact an acquaintance of his and again luckily she didn't give out his personal information beyond an email. Which was also anonymous. Mine somehow got on to all my accounts and was just a general troll like I'd go for him eventually, and trying to bully me into sending him pictures. I'll never get posting pictures of myself all day and what I'm eating. I saw a girl yesterday with a phone on a bracket in front of her basically filming her 24/7. Really, if you're that desperate for fame it's not worth it. You'll never find me on tiktok either. If you knew my name, I have a wiki page and there are lots of press pictures of me around because I've been to red carpet events mostly because I know people who invited me to like pretend to be their date or whatever, but I never sent any loser on the internet nudes omg, why are people so desperate?

Anyway I win because I'm not into that culture of narcissism and I like Bear because he doesn't pressure people for DM pics or whatever.

There's nothing to miss, the internet is for two things, porn and trolls. Also why would I need to ask for pictures in DMs if the internet has an infinite supply? Like what is that move? Is it a scam? A power play? Sounds like blackmail to me. I only ever sent anyone one picture of me and that was headless and fully clothed. Who wants a pic of my jewels? And again, there are countless pictures of that sort of thing if you're into it and would I even want to date someone who wanted a picture of me nude? I'm totally with Aleshe here but we've already talked about this before.

We've got a rock solid friend group that stays together because we seem to be the only sane ones on the planet.

We're drug free, alcohol free tat free piercing free mostly narcissism free, we're total rebels against the societal norms. Seriously I've never even had a friend with piercings. No one with us even has their ears pierced. Is there a point? Is it fun? It looks offputting to me. Clip ons work fine for fancy occasions. Then if you do become an actor or actress they make you cover up all those tats and it can take hours so they have to sit in makeup for literally hours. I couldn't do that I can't sit still to save my life.

You're misreading me, I'm not telling you to stop, I am advising you that a deeply personal and private conversation about the harms of publicizing your personal life online is ill-suited to an inherently public platform. And no, the point of the thread was to "win" this game, you wrote that as your first comment.

No no no, I'm not misinterpreting you at all then. This thread is meant to get personal. As much as you're comfortable with. Of course we don't want people putting incriminating, doxxing, or other gotcha stuff, the idea is that people who wouldn't otherwise post a thread can post here to get infomal off-topic advice, vent, etc. This is the off-topic thread where anything goes. Where you can vent a little frustration or get a little support in your daily life. Why it's public is because not everyone is comfortable with DMs. I'm not in fact. I usually turn that off. I'm anonymous here but I also wouldn't post anything stupid. Well that's subjective.

My only interest is victory, but as long as you lot are careful that you don't doxx yourself carry on. The Chit Chat section of the website is visible for everyone, and unlike the chat function does not erase itself from public view after a given period of time. Than again, all anyone would glean from my chats is that I enjoy food, booze, my dog and running. Not terribly exciting stuff.
