How would you define Genre A 'kissed' by Genre B?

In my mind, I picture it being as something that is like 70-80% one thing and maybe 10-20% some other thing.
The dominant trait is much more present, but the lesser trait is there enough to add a little extra 'sauce' to the setting.

Well, if I was Genre A and Genre B was a lovely young lady, I would define it as very good indeed.

While I do think that a Genre that can include strong aspects of another ought to be a win, kissed the way I would put it. To me, that implies just the littlest bit...maybe I need more than a kiss... I'd say go for it, blend the two genre's together and see what can be made of it. And if you are really daring, try a threesome...

I suppose I would define it as you have, most of one Genre and a tiny bit of another.

What if Genre B was a war torn nurse who served in the great elven wars between the knomes and the giants?

My fantasy story I'm writing now, it has some science fiction elements to it, but not enough to consider it 'also' that genre.
There is one location in the story that is absolutely science fiction-y (the sea of data)
And there's some elements of the world that bring in science fiction. (everything degenerates into data when it 'dies' )

Well, I say I write Dark Fantasy, but there is also a fair bit of Science Fiction mixed in with it. Some reviewers have called it 'Science Fantasy.'
Most science fiction my story has in it is like, futuristic working refrigerators/washing machines etc (even vending machines, real world appliances in general actually) in a fantasy based world.

There is some more 'advanced' stuff that would count as science fiction? But like I'm keeping that stuff very minimal on purpose. It's also more mixed with fantasy than proper 'science'
