The logistics of 'mad science' actually working...

So I have a mad scientist type in my RWBY story.

When she gets an idea for a formulae, she holes up in her lab for a week (or until she finishes it) and does nothing but experiment until it works.

Thing is, there's not much scientific logic to her formulas. She just simply knows enough about chemistry and alchemy that she can make a formula for just about anything.

Want to be 6 inches taller? She got you (But don't drink too much unless you wanna be 20 feet tall for a week)

Want your skin blue (for some reason) she got you.

Want to be invisible until the chemicals are digested out of your system? I mean she can do it but she's not sure how long the effects will last, drink with caution.

She can do just about everything except reviving the dead, because that would require actual magic (which doesn't currently exist in Remnant, it does but it doesn't, it's complicated)

They do look like a bit if a get-out-of-jail character.
That is, unless the variability [and side effects] can be used for comic effect.

Most of her potions are for comedic effects
Like she made one so she could get 'sexier' and wound up not being able to move for a week.
Her potions work, but they don't typically work as intended. It's why she has a hard time getting other people to try them.

I don't plan on having her use potions to solve problems in the plot lol (If anything half of the time her potions create problems...)

The effects of these potions sound like difficult magic to me. I am not sure of anything that can make one 6 inches taller other than thick shoes.

Not sure what you want with this one. Its not really asking a question.
