Seems like this is the place to say hello.

So ... "Hello".

I call myself Cinnea in this place. Been writing on and off for a couple of years, mostly fantasy inspired by ancient (and sometimes not so ancient) myths.

I'm from Sweden, so English is my second language. Since I read fantasy almost exclusively in English, I tend to write in English too...

Now I'm going to have a look around and see what you're doing here.

I base my stories around ancient myths and legends also so I think we're pretty alike in that perspective.
As for your English, it's impossible to tell it isn't your first language.

Out of curiosity, why do you typically read fantasy novels in English?

It started when I had read the last translated part of a series that I liked - and realized that there were more parts of it. I decided I couldn't wait, so I bought them in English and read them (with a dictionary close by.) Then I learned there were waaaay more fantasy published in English than ever became translated into Swedish...
Of course that has changed a bit. Much more becomes translated now, and quite fast, but this was about 20 years ago and I was a teenager ...
