First off, if anyone here's a star wars fan, and has seen any of the newer shows or is well educated, you know the Mandolorians.
Second, I'm taking that basic idea and twisting it a bit for this Zelda Story, since for most appearances, Dark Nuts have no Lore or Story Relevance. They're just kind of, there.
In this particular story, Ganon has been ruling Hyrule for some time (It's an alternate history to breath of the wild/Tears of the Kingdom) and while not everybody is 'happy' with his rule. There's really nobody to oppose him, and anyone who dares rise up is struck down personally and swiftly with biblical strength.
I was thinking his most loyal and skilled Gerudo could be Dark Nuts (Look up the ones in Twilight Princess), at least on the surface. They're actually moles planted by the current Gerudo chief, formed exclusively of a splinter tribe consisting mainly of warriors.
I Have their role planned out, but not so much the how and the why the Dark Nuts would 'betray' Ganon since the Gerudo typically align with him (depends on the game)
